Day 1

Journey begins

Your Antarctic adventure with Quark Expeditions begins as you board your flight to Buenos Aires. As you soar south across continents, anticipation grows for the extraordinary landscapes, towering icebergs, and remote wilderness that await at the edge of the world.

Day 2

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Arriving in Buenos Aires, you are warmly welcomed at the airport and escorted to your hotel for a day of rest. Later, the city invites exploration, from the colourful streets of La Boca and the historic charm of San Telmo to the elegance of Recoleta and the vibrant cafés of Palermo, where you can watch local life unfold with a coffee in hand.

Day 3

Ushuaia, Argentina

After an early breakfast, you board a private charter flight to Ushuaia, the southernmost city on Earth. A short transfer brings you to downtown, where you can explore this charming port town at leisure. By late afternoon, you embark and sail along the historic Beagle Channel, passing rugged islands and snow-tipped mountains. As the coastline fades, anticipation grows — the next land you see will be the pristine, remote wilderness of Antarctica.

Day 4

Drake Passage

Crossing the legendary Drake Passage, you feel the thrill of standing on deck as the vast ocean stretches to the horizon. Ultramarine navigates the pristine waters of the Antarctic Peninsula, with opportunities to explore by Zodiac or take flightseeing excursions over glaciers, mountains, and vast icefields.
