Day 1

Journey begins

Your journey begins as you board an overnight flight to Siem Reap, the gateway to Cambodia’s rich heritage and vibrant Mekong landscapes. Day 2

Siem Reap, Cambodia

Arrive in Siem Reap, the charming gateway to the legendary temples of Angkor, where your local guide welcomes you and escorts you to your hotel. Take time to refresh and enjoy a leisurely lunch featuring a traditional Khmer set menu. In the afternoon, begin your exploration of Angkor Wat aboard a “Remork”, like the Thai 'tuk tuk'. Built in the early 12th century by King Suryavarman II, this temple mountain symbolises Mount Meru, the home of the gods. Wander among intricate bas-reliefs depicting Hindu mythology and historic battles and admire over 2,000 apsara dancers carved in stone. Angkor Wat, featured on Cambodia’s flag, embodies the soul of the Khmer people.

Day 3

Siem Reap, Cambodia

Begin your day early to witness the sunrise at Angkor Wat, as golden rays slowly illuminate its five iconic towers. Enjoy a breakfast box from your hotel or return for a leisurely breakfast. Explore Ta Prohm, the enchanting temple overgrown with jungle trees and vines, famously known as the Tomb Raider Temple. Its crumbling ruins and verdant roots create a hauntingly beautiful, serene atmosphere, best enjoyed in the quiet of early morning. Continue to the ancient city of Angkor Thom, entering through the South Gate guarded by gods and demons holding the sacred naga. Siem Reap, Cambodia

This morning, embark on a boat journey to the remote floating village of Kampong Khleang, located 22 miles east of Siem Reap. Less visited than Kampong Phluk, the village amazes with its stilted houses rising up to 33 ft. above the floodplain during the dry season and almost touching the water in the wet season. Glide through narrow waterways surrounded by flooded forests, observing daily life in this vibrant community. Fishing remains the lifeblood of the village, and its large population makes Kampong Khleang the largest settlement on the lake. Absorb the quiet spirituality as monks chant, and take in sweeping views of the plains stretching to the horizon. Return to Phnom Penh and explore the city by tuk tuk, gliding through charming French colonial streets and leafy boulevards. Pause at iconic landmarks such as Wat Phnom, where history and local life intertwine. Mekong River – Border crossing

Mekong River – Tan Chau, Vietnam

Wander down Dong Khoi Street to admire the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, and the Opera House.
