Silver Galapagos is an expedition ship that is custom-built for cruising the Galapagos Islands. Offering a choice of two Galapagos itineraries, Silver Galapagos is one of the most luxurious ships based in the region and is a great choice of vessel for both couples and solo travellers.

A sleek vessel, Silver Galapagos navigates the changeable waters of the Pacific Ocean with ease. She has been active in the region for over 20 years, which makes her one of the longest serving expedition ships in the Galapagos Islands. She offers an outstanding level of onboard service and is truly all-inclusive which means your dining, drinks and excursions are all included in the price you pay at the time of booking.

Silver Galapagos features all of the necessary facilities and amenities you will need to enjoy a fully immersive experience in the Galapagos Islands. This includes two glass bottom boats which can be deployed in order to provide guests with a privileged under-the-surface view of the buoyant marine life and rich coral reef. She also has a fleet of Zodiacs which provide easy access to landing zones on the islands as well as kayaks and snorkelling equipment which can be used for planned excursions and independent exploration.

Throughout your expedition on Silver Galapagos you will be treated to an in-depth programme of lectures and briefings provided by a highly trained Expedition Team. Made up of experts from the world’s of ornithology, natural history and oceanography, the team will be on-hand to provide a level of insight based and answer any questions you may have during your trip.

Silver Galapagos offers a five suite choices, ranging from comfortable Explorer Suites to stylish Silver Suites. The lower grades (Explorer and Terrace) have large windows for panoramic ocean views, while the 3 larger categories (Veranda, Deluxe Veranda and Silver) have moderately sized private verandas. All of the suite categories benefit from private butler service and come equipped with a marble bathroom with tub/shower, a personal refrigerator, a queen size bed and a flat-screen television with a DVD player.

Silver Galapagos boasts two main dining venues; The Restaurant and The Grill. Benefitting from splendid ocean views, The Restaurant is the ship’s primary venue and serves up regionally-influenced cuisine created with locally-sourced Ecuadorian produce. Here you can enjoy dining on an open-seating basis without restrictions or allocated mealtimes.

The Grill offers a more informal environment and as such is perfect should you wish to dine outside on the ship’s deck. The dishes served at The Grill are a lighter affair and as such you should expect light-bites, fresh meat and seafood and a range of cocktails to help you wash it all down.

During the evenings, you are free to relax in one of the ship’s public areas. Many of the guests head to the Piano Bar, where you can order cocktails or enjoy your favourite tipple while catching up with your fellow travellers. The service here is personable and friendly (the bartenders will quickly learn your favourites) and the pleasing ocean views and soothing sounds of the ship’s pianist make this a very pleasant place to relax after a day spent exploring.

Other public areas on Silver Galapagos include the Explorer Lounge, which where the lectures and daily briefings take place, and a Snorkel Area which is where you can stow away your wet equipment.  

Silver Galapagos also hosts a fitness centre, a jacuzzi and a library.
