Following an evening departure from Buenos Aires, you will spend a full day soaking up cosmopolitan Montevideo before crossing the South Atlantic Ocean, bound for the Stanley in the Falkland Islands. Upon arrival, you will have time to explore the capital independently or enjoy a tour of the island’s highlights which include a visit to Whalebone Cave and the Falkland Island’s Museum where you can learn more about the Falklands history, geography and wildlife.
After leaving Stanley, you will spend a full day at sea, heading south until you arrive in the Antarctic Peninsula where you will begin six days intensive exploration in the region. Weather permitting, there will be opportunities to visit a range of the region’s highlights including Hope Bay, Paradise Bay and King George Island, whilst also enjoying a variety of excursions both by Zodiac and on foot.
On day eleven you will leave Antarctica and head north for a two day crossing of the infamous Drake Passage, towards the world’s southernmost city, Ushuaia in Argentina. Your time in Ushuaia can be spent soaking up the city’s frontier vibrancy or joining one of the many shore excursions available, which include everything from Catamaran sailings in the Beagle Channel to 4×4 Safari trips into the nearby wilderness.
The next day Seabourn Quest will travel up through the Beagle Channel before arriving in Punta Arenas, Chile. This marks the beginning of your time exploring Patagonia and the Chilean Fjords, with stops scheduled in Castro and Puerto Montt, both of which are renowned for their natural beauty and stunning scenic backdrops. The excursions available to you in Patagonia include visiting the National Park near Castro on Chile Island or horseback riding in Puerto Montt.
After leaving Puerto Montt, you will continue to head north, up the Reloncavi Sound and into the South Pacific Ocean, where Quest will hug the Chilean coastline before making a morning arrival in Valparaiso, signalling the end of your ultimate Antarctica and Patagonia expedition.Contact Us
